How fixed is "fixed price"?

As fixed as it gets. Once we sign, the price doesn't change unless you ask us to add scope. If we underestimate the work, that's our problem to solve. Change orders only happen when you request something outside the original brief, and you'll see the new price in writing before we touch a line of code.

Why not just bill hourly?

Hourly billing rewards us for being slow. Fixed-price aligns us with you: the faster and tighter we ship, the better it is for both sides. We'd rather sweat scoping upfront than send you a surprise invoice at week six.

Do you offer payment plans?

Build and Build+Run engagements are typically split into 3 milestones (kick-off, mid-build, launch). Sprint engagements are 50% upfront, 50% at delivery. We don't currently offer financing — but for the right project we'll work with you on a payment cadence that fits.

What's not included in the price?

Third-party fees you'd be paying anyway: hosting (typically $20–$200/mo), domain registration, transactional email (Resend, Postmark), AI API usage (OpenAI/Anthropic), and any paid integrations. We'll spell out the expected monthly run-rate during scoping so there are no surprises.

Can we start with a Sprint and upgrade?

Yes — and a lot of clients do. A Sprint is a great way to test the working relationship on a smaller scope before committing to a full Build. The Sprint price isn't deducted from a future Build, but the design system and architecture decisions carry forward, which speeds things up.

Do you offer discounts for non-profits or early-stage startups?

For mission-aligned non-profits, yes — typically 15–20% off, scope-dependent. For early-stage startups, we don't discount, but we'll often scope a tight Sprint that delivers an MVP within their budget instead.
